Job overview

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is one of the largest acute and community Trusts in the West Midlands and opened a new Urgent and Emergency Care Centre in November 2015. We have been rated as GOOD during our recent CQC inspection. Are you an adult trained nurse with acute nursing experience? We are looking for nurses who are pursuing a new challenge. The Emergency Department is exceptionally busy and currently has circa 153,000 annual attendees. An understanding of the importance of maintaining patient flows through the hospital is pivotal to this role. Are you ready to embrace the new ways of working within our innovative department including the purpose-built rapid assessment area and working partnerships between acute physicians and emergency consultants?
Main duties of the job
The Emergency Services Group encompasses the Accident and Emergency Department, Urgent Treatment Centre and Same Day Emergency Care Centre offering multiple points of access to emergency services. We are looking for caring, compassionate nurses to work in the emergency care setting. Experience within emergency services or an acute medical unit would be beneficial but not essential. This Band 5 role provides a real opportunity to develop leadership skills, clinical skills and knowledge base within the Emergency Services Directorate.
