My client are a leader in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design and engineering, is seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Design Manager to join their London office. Known for their expertise in delivering high-quality and efficient engineering solutions, this contractor partners with industry leaders to deliver impactful projects across the commercial and residential sectors.

Role and Responsibilities:
As a Mechanical Design Manager, you will lead a team of engineers to deliver mechanical design solutions across a variety of high-profile projects.
Key responsibilities include:
* Overseeing the design, planning, and delivery of mechanical systems for large-scale commercial and residential projects.
* Managing a team of mechanical engineers, providing mentorship, support, and ensuring quality in all designs.
* Collaborating with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop effective, innovative design solutions.
* Reviewing and approving technical drawings, specifications, and calculations.
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, codes, and regulations.
* Managing budgets, timelines, and resources to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
* Conducting site visits to review progress and resolve any design-related issues during construction.
Skills and Experience:
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Significant experience in mechanical design, particularly within commercial and residential sectors.
* Strong leadership and project management skills.
* Proficiency in relevant design software, including AutoCAD and Revit.
* Comprehensive understanding of UK building regulations and standards.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients and project stakeholders.
