About the Role
Join our Field Services team as an HGV Driver and Survey Technician at TRL Headquarters in Wokingham, Berkshire. This role offers a dynamic working environment on and off site, with varied responsibilities. This role requires flexibility, as it involves travel throughout the UK and includes regular night shifts. The position is based in Wokingham, Berkshire.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Driving fleet vehicles, including HGVs and specialist vehicles, and assist the survey team in pavement surveys, prioritising safety protocols.
2. Assist with vehicle and equipment maintenance.
3. Participate in pavement surveys and laboratory testing, following safety procedures rigorously and calibrating equipment.
4. Maintain and care for specialist equipment.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
5. A valid Class 2 HGV licence
6. Demonstrated health and safety and risk assessments experience
7. Understanding of road closures and various traffic management methods
8. Proficiency in reading plans and statistical drawings
9. Proficiency in MS Office and general IT skills
Desirable
10. Experience in pavement sampling through coring, preferably with team supervision would be advantageous
11. Knowledge and experience in data collection utilising a Deflectograph, GPR, Coring/Diamond drilling, Window Sampler for soil sampling, and/or conducting utilities surveys following PAS128 guidelines.
12. Certifications such as CSCS and NRSWA would be a bonus.
