About the Role
To manage, co-ordinate, develop and deliver a responsive, cost-effective, high-quality customer focused county wide Business Support Service which includes provision of a wide range of technical, administrative, support and advice functions.
To work closely with Business Services Managers and Business Support Team Managers to develop an agreed business support service reflecting changing needs and budget envelope, and to monitor performance to ensure business support teams effectively and efficiently support the functions within their remit.
It is vital to the future of the department that the post holder is flexible in taking on additional tasks, willing to offer help to employees and treats co-operation and support for colleagues as a top priority.
About You
To apply for this post, you must have:
1. A degree level qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent level of relevant experience in a business support services setting, Or demonstrable experience identified below.
2. Proven management experience in a relevant setting, including responsibility for staffing and financial resources
3. Experience of interpreting and analysing data in order to improve services, including redacting information
4. Management of financial and budgetary systems
5. Ability to negotiate with a wide range of external agencies and partners
6. Able to work under pressure, within short deadlines & have a flexible and responsive attitude
