About the role You will be a dynamic insight professional who can lead the creation of best-in-class insights for our customers across the UK Eating Out and Retail industry. Our team’s work includes the creation of market, retailer, operator, channel, shopper and consumer insights to drive growth for our customers. This includes conducting ongoing primary research with UK retailers, operators and shoppers as well as international Eating Out businesses, delivering major research projects with both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, tracking innovation and best practices across the industry, and creating compelling insight content for our web-based platforms – Retail Analysis and ShopperVista. The responsibilities Reporting to the Head of Insight (UK), t hese include: Leading content creation Working closely with the Head of Insight you will occupy an important role within the team, ensuring delivery of the UK content plan with best-in-class shopper insight for publication on IGD’s website, reports, presentations, news, store visits and data. Project leadership This role will manage the delivery of high-profile shopper and consumer research projects to produce actionable industry insight, opinion and recommendations that meets the needs of IGD customers. You will lead project teams and support the ongoing professional development of others in the UK team, providing coaching and maintaining high standards on all research and content created by the team. You will work closely with a variety of internal stakeholders to build strong alignment. Representing IGD You will deliver high quality presentations at external events and to IGD customers showcasing the best of the UK research programme. Leading by example You will maintain high standards and consistency, constantly seeking ways to improve day-to-day routines and ways of working with key contacts around the organisation. Seeking ways to continually upgrade the quality of our online products and services through the introduction of new tools, methodologies, and approaches to create even greater relevancy and impact of our work.
