Acre is supporting a global company in the heavy manufacturing space to hire an LCA Advisor to inform both internal and external stakeholders on the environmental impact of its products. The role will be working closely with the Sustainability Manager and a wider sustainability team, as well as cross-functionally with other parts of the business.
The company operates within an essential but high-emitting sector, which means there are lots of opportunities to make an impact across the supply chain. As the Company transforms to embed sustainability throughout their operations, your role will play a key part in supporting the advancement of sustainable solutions.
Using your experience and knowledge in LCA and broader sustainability, you will be:
1. Managing the Company's LCA resources, including modelling, analysis, and presentation.
2. Collaborating across functions to explore low-carbon options. Supporting product development with your carbon footprint expertise, applying dedicated tools and developing new tools to support the function.
3. Support quantification and reduction of corporate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, in particular scope 3 GHG emissions.
4. Engaging with the global organisation on product sustainability activities.
You will bring:
5. Strong knowledge and experience in LCA modelling through GaBi software
6. Excellent numeracy skills, including data modelling and manipulation in tools such as Excel
7. Ideally you would have commercial experience in delivering LCA projects, but academic experience will also be considered if you can demonstrate strong modelling skills
8. Confidence and adaptability to partner with different internal stakeholders in a global business
This role will ideally be suited to someone who is based within commuting distance to their offices in the Greater Oxford area, as you will be expected to be on-site two days a week.
