Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Secretary to join the Maternity, Neonatal and Gynaecology Services Directorate. This role will support the lead colposcopy administrator with the delivery of a comprehensive administrative service to the specialised colposcopy team. Team building skills are imperative, as is the need to be self motivated with the ability to use your own initiative as and when necessary. Main duties of the job The post holder is required to support the lead colposcopy administrator in the delivery of a comprehensive administrative service to the colposcopy team. This will involve confidential secretarial, administrative support, data entry and validation. Ensure all required data is entered into the relevant database in a timely manner. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring clinic letters are produced and communicated to the general practitioners. The post holder will produce results letters to communicate test results to patients in a timely manner to meet results wait time targets. Schedule follow-up appointments or discharge patients as directed by the clinicians clinical management and colposcopy guidelines. Ensure any diagnosed cancer results are brought to the attention of the multidisciplinary team, clinicians and to the lead colposcopy administrator, to take appropriate administrative action in the absence of the clinicians and lead colposcopy administrator.
