SThree are pleased to announce we're recruiting for a talented RTR Transformation Assistant Controller to join our excellent team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for key transformation project activities as well as dual run processing activities in the new system during the dual running phase of the project. This will be in line with the guidelines set forth by the RTR Sub Business Process Owner.
This role is predominantly to cover all aspects of accounting activity - working together with the RTR Transformation Controller ensure all month end close, operational, controls and core accounting function tasks can be completed efficiently in the new system, be conscious of the control environment and highlight any potential risks, manage the review of account reconciliations advising where write offs are required to deliver the cleanest accounting portfolio to transition into the new system.
The successful candidate will become a subject matter expert for Accounting and be integral to both the successful implementation of the project and ensuring system acceptance by the wider RTR team.

What are the day-to-day tasks?
1. Build professional working relationships with Business Transformation teams across all business areas including Sales, Time Pay Bill, Finance and commissions and Payroll, driving improvements in the end-to-end record to report process
2. Working alongside the RTR & Core Accounting SBPOs, HCM/PTP/OTC SBPOs, Key Global Stakeholders, System Implementer, BAU Functional Teams and IT as required
3. Carry out RTR dual run activities defined as part of the dual running process utilising the new ERP system, following policy and process flows as defined during the project
4. Engage in rationalisation of data elements, cleanse of data and conversion activities per the data migration strategy document
5. Contribute to the design and implementation of system configurations to enable efficient and effective future process flows
6. Definition of end to end process flows for RTR and review of existing policy documents and create/update policy as required
7. Participate in creation of the test plan and test script definition process, assist with setting up the test recording tool, test script creation, test script execution, training on test recording tool and both monitoring the test script execution status and assisting with testing issue resolution
8. Review of existing reporting to determine if it meets business needs and assistance in design of new reporting to support business activities to ensure smooth running of the business function
What skills and knowledge are we looking for?
9. Strong knowledge of financial and management reporting essential
10. Good written and oral communication skills, able to communicate financial matters to non-technical experts
11. Analytical skills with previous experience in creating and writing commentary for management
12. Strong command over MS Excel (Advanced) is desirable up to but not necessarily including VBA
13. Previous team lead desirable but not essential
14. Project and people leading skills are beneficial
15. Demonstrated track record of collaborative working within a shared service environment
16. Strong individual experience in reporting and interacting with management
Qualifications
17. CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified Accountant or equivalent, or qualified by experience
