Role description:
To provide legal and administrative support to Arcadis dispute resolution lawyers and other members of the Arcadis UK & Ireland in-house Legal, Compliance, and Privacy (LCP) team. This role will be based in the United Kingdom preferably in Bristol Office.
Reports to Senior Litigation Business Partner.
Role accountabilities:
Claims handling and dispute management support including:
1. Locating and securing documents;
2. Document management generally includes working with external document management platform providers;
3. Identifying and liaising with potential witnesses and discussions with witnesses;
4. Notifications to insurers;
5. Preparing bundles of documents as required for internal review and instruction of external solicitors;
6. Liaising with external solicitors, experts, and other consultants as required;
7. Maintaining claims records;
8. Reporting to management, brokers and insurers;
9. General preparation for all forms of dispute resolution including mediation, adjudication, arbitration and litigation.
General support for the LCP team and the wider business including:
10. Providing legal support for bid and project teams;
11. Analysing and reporting on claims statistics;
12. Preparation and updating of internal LCP guidance notes;
13. Preparation of internal LCP training materials;
14. Legal research including general advice on draft and new legislation.
Qualifications & Experience:
15. First degree or equivalent, preferably in law
16. Postgraduate legal qualification (e.g. Legal Practice Course) is preferred but not essential.
17. Previous experience in a litigation support or other paralegal role
18. The role may be suitable for candidates looking to gain Qualifying Work Experience in order to qualify as solicitors
