About the role
Balfour Beatty are looking for a Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Coordinator/Administrator to join our Highways HSW Central Admin Team, working on the A63 project in Hull. This is a 12 month fixed term contract.
This role will provide administrative support to project based HSW teams on all aspects of Health, Safety and Wellbeing, developing documentation, meeting legal and company standards and helping deliver a culture of continual improvement. The HSW Coordinator will understand and work with HSW Leads, Advisors and other
Administrators / Coordinators to ensure requirements are complied with.
What you'll be doing
General Duties:
* Collaborate with the Project and Business Unit HSW Teams to provide optimum Administrative services and support
* Undertake Administrative duties to meet the project requirements
* Carry out the monthly HSW reports and obtain project lead approvals prior to submitting
* Provide cover for other HSW team members as needed
Inductions/Role Compliance:
* Process and manage Induction bookings, ensuring role compliance throughout
* Coordinate competency management / maintenance
* Liaise with project teams and supply chain as required
Incidents/Incursions:
* Upload / update and report on Incidents to company and client systems as required and communicate changes/updates with the HSW lead
Observations:
* Categorise observations in line with company requirements and
* Identify and report on observational trends
* Facilitate the project in issuing Observation Awards as needed
Who we're looking for
* Good knowledge of Health, Safety and Wellbeing issues
* Understanding of the Construction operating environment
* High level in MS Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Forms, Power BI, Power Apps)
* Full UK driver’s licence and flexibility to travel
* Good interpersonal skills
