Your new company
My client in an international group with a large presence in the UK. You will support both the EMEA Tax Manager and the Head of International Tax on a variety of compliance. You will gain exposure to US GAAP, plus other taxes. This represents an excellent opportunity from a first time mover form the profession or for someone with in house tax experience looking to further their career.
Your new role
You will:
1. Prepare UK corporate tax returns.
2. Oversee the withholding tax process, ensuring maximisation of double tax relief claims.
3. Draft Local GAAP tax notes and perform a tax review of UK statutory accounts.
4. Assist in preparing EMEA quarterly and annual US GAAP tax reports, including cash tax forecasting and effective tax rate (ETR) modelling.
5. Support the calculation of UK Group tax provisions.
6. Collaborate with the US head office tax team to ensure compliance and accuracy in reporting.
7. Manage documentation for double tax relief, including loan passports, tax clearances, W8BEN forms, and residence certificates
8. Assist in maintaining EMEA group transfer pricing documentation and ensure compliance with intercompany agreements.
9. Support updates to legal documentation to reflect transfer pricing positions accurately.
10. Conduct research and provide support for ad hoc tax queries and strategic projects.
11. Support the preparation and submission of R&D tax credit claims, working with external advisors.
12. Assist in meeting Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) compliance requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant or tax professional, either ACA, ACCA, ATT or CTA qualified with corporate tax compliance and tax accounting experience.
