Your role in the team
Business Analytics Consultants (BACs) use a mix of business consulting, technical, and solution implementation skills to help Allstate maximize the business value of data & analytics. BACs work alongside data, analytics, business, and technology stakeholders as integrators and translators to effectively implement work across the company.
The BAC Sr Consultant I position is a senior consultant role responsible for coordinating and managing the development of analytical solutions and processes to drive business decisions for the aligned business vertical.
The Sr Consultant is also responsible for providing high complexity analytical and data-driven solutions to key business stakeholders to address potential business problems and demonstrate value.
Additionally, the BAC Sr Consultant will be exposed to developing data strategies for predictive analytic applications, big data, data science, and agile delivery methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Drives clear product/project communications throughout the project/product process to all stakeholders regarding scope, timeline, issues, and any revisions.
2. Maintains partnerships through the development process to ensure the successful transition of moderately complex research to an operational state within the business unit.
3. Develops solutions using tools such as Tableau to effectively communicate and drive the translation of data and analytics insights in business terms to key stakeholders.
4. Supports Data Scientists with high-level model design by providing business requirements and understanding of data domains and their business impact.
5. Creates data visualization tools to monitor and identify potential out-of-pattern elements in business results.
6. Works with business partners to contribute to data and analytics actions to aid in their strategic direction and understand how potential actions will influence results.
7. Drives activities to develop strategies and identify high-priority initiatives to deliver and execute on the operating plan.
8. Provides direction on leveraging data and analytics to make key business decisions, understanding operational processes, and improving data-driven decisions.
9. Contributes to high complexity projects/products and drives moderately complex medium impact projects/products from ideation to delivery in an Agile framework.
Essential Skills
1. Legal right to work in the UK; Allstate is not providing sponsorship for this vacancy.
2. 3 years experience with data visualization and reporting tools, including Power BI or Tableau; creating and presenting dashboards, synthesizing complex data into meaningful conclusions.
3. 3 years experience working with both technical and non-technical business stakeholders; effective communication of concepts to drive alignment and decision-making.
4. Proven experience solving problems using quantitative and analytical thinking skills.
5. Experience in an Agile-based product environment.
6. Proven experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous business environment.
Desirable Skills
1. Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business-related field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Computer Science, Data Science).
2. Prior experience communicating and building relationships with end users through various mediums.
3. Ability to work with ambiguous requirements and turn them into tangible business actions.
4. Demonstrate business acumen to drive consulting efforts with business clients.
5. Ability to make sound decisions using problem-solving approaches.
6. Ability to drive complex analysis and data/technical projects.
