The Opportunity
We now have an excellent opportunity for a Preventive Engineer onsite at our Cement Manufacturing Plant in Cauldon, Staffordshire. This is a brand new role to our plant giving you the flexibility to find the best ways of working and show your capabilities to excel your career.
Youll become an integral part of the reliability and longevity of our operational equipment. Utilising your mechanical understanding and expertise youll develop and further enhance our Preventive Maintenance onsite to keep operational downtime to a minimum.
Youll be a strategic thinker, following analysis of machinery and condition monitoring to understand in advance what parts need replacing, by implementing a plan to replace multiple items at once youll be able to reduce the overall downtime of equipment.
Youll coordinate with the wider maintenance team onsite for annual shutdown activities, ensuring all preventive maintenance tasks are completed in an appropriate time frame and that parts are available for the hands on team.
Who you are
Youll have a background in Mechanical Engineering, understanding a manufacturing process and be able to recognise wear on equipment in an industrial environment.
Youll be an analytical person, able to interpret reports and implement strategies to help improve longevity of equipment.
Youll ideally hold a Mechanical Engineering degree, or be keen to further develop your qualifications and skills.
