What a day might look like for you:
As a Veterinary Nurse you will carry out nursing duties to a unique variety of animal welfare cases predominantly cats, dogs, as well as a range of other species brought by our Inspectorate colleagues. All our animals have been rescued from cruelty or neglect, so the role involves the triage of new admissions and the ongoing treatment and care during their stay. You will be assisting with surgical patient care.
Our expert team at Finsbury Park Hospital provide life-saving veterinary care to thousands of animals rescued by RSPCA frontline officers, this is the sole focus for the team. So that we are able to give the most vulnerable animals the best care and attention we are no longer public-facing.
What makes a great Veterinary Nurse:

Having experience in surgical operations, dentistry, and neutering is essential, along with great attention to detail to keep our records up to date. In addition, an interest in animal behaviour would be useful.
