Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join a leading engineering company. The successful candidate will be responsible for commissioning process equipment such as pumps, valves, instruments, and other ancillary systems across a variety of industries, including food & beverage, chemical processing, and other manufacturing plants.
This dynamic role offers a blend of office work, home-based tasks, and on-site commissioning, providing variety and exposure to diverse projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery: Take ownership of commissioning tasks for capital equipment (heat exchangers, flow meters, pumps, tanks, separators, CIP systems,pipework, etc.), ensuring successful system start-up.
Client Liaison: Work closely with clients and project teams to understand site conditions, ensuring seamless integration of equipment into existing processes.
Site Supervision: Oversee installation on-site, ensuring work is carried out in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
Mechanical Assessment: Perform thorough mechanical assessments of installations to ensure proper setup and functionality.
Commissioning & Calibration: Lead the commissioning of, instrumentation, and equipment, including setup, calibration, and scaling as needed.
Documentation: Complete and compile comprehensive commissioning documentation and ensure final sign-off from the client.
Compliance: Adhere to all QSHE (Quality, Safety, Health, Environment) requirements, ensuring Health & Safety policies are followed at all times.
Support: Provide additional support to the service team when required by the business.
Plan, schedule and oversee internal and external labour resources
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in commissioning or servicing process or separation equipment.
Skills: Proficient in both mechanical and electrical aspects of commissioning, with the ability to demonstrate competency in both areas.
Travel: Comfortable with regular travel to customer sites for commissioning activities.
Qualifications: Relevant engineering qualifications with a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
