Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Acute Care team at Aintree Hospital. The role involves assessing and treating patients in acute medical, surgical, and critical care settings, helping them regain mobility and independence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for patients in acute settings
2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for rehabilitation and recovery
3. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, OTs, and consultants
4. Provide respiratory physiotherapy support for patients with complex needs
5. Promote early mobilization and discharge planning to optimize patient outcomes
6. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatments, and progress reports
Requirements
1. HCPC registered Physiotherapist
2. Minimum 6 months NHS experience (mandatory)
3. Experience in acute medical, surgical, or critical care physiotherapy
4. Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
