Job Title: CAD Technician Location: London area- Onsite Duration: One year umbrella contract (Inside IR35) Overview: The Computer Aided Design (CAD) Tech will be responsible for creating detailed drawings of delivery station layouts or delivery station concepts including material handling equipment, work areas, modules, and operations components based on current standards as well as designs supported for future initiatives. Drawings will require a high level of detail in both plan views as well as corresponding elevation views. The CAD Tech will work under the high-level project direction of a design engineer and collaborate with various stakeholder teams, both internal and external, to create an approved delivery station design set. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Evaluate and create physical processing and material handling solutions using cutting edge technology, robotics and data analytics to meet the product flow requirements based on client design principles. Identify and analyze key operational and financial metrics as part of program and feature selection in order to drive smart decisions. Coordinate with systems and operations engineering teams to develop product features and optimize the performance of the FCs. Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors. Develop models as required to solve complex problems Experience working with the designs of complex automated material handling equipment and systems including robotics and high-speed manufacturing. Demonstrated use of analytical skills to solve complex engineering problems Experience with process design based on Lean Principles. Basic qualifications 1-3 years of experience as an industrial engineer, process engineer, systems engineer, manufacturing engineer, project manager or related occupation. In lieu of experience or in addition a Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field preferred. Experience utilizing industrial simulation software and making data driven decisions from the results Experience using MS Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD and commercial off the shelf technologies such as Tableau, SQL
