Vice Principal: Behaviour and Culture
About this Role

We are therefore looking for an exceptional individual with the moral purpose, knowledge and leadership skills required for working in areas of high disadvantage and delivering a culture of achievement for young people.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated history of successful teaching and leadership in either a primary or secondary setting. The role will involve leadership of behaviour and culture and is a rare opportunity to play a key role in shaping the ethos of a brand-new school.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Principal in the overall administration and management of the school.
* Lead and inspire a team of educators, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Lead and manage the behaviour and culture strategy across the school. We use a restorative approach, drawing on the work of Paul Dix.
* Engage with students, parents, and the wider community to build strong relationships and promote the school's values and vision.
Desirable Skill Sets:
* Experience of leading whole school behaviour strategy.
* Experience of curriculum development and implementation.
* Knowledge of special educational needs and inclusion strategies.
* Proficiency in data analysis and using data to inform decision-making.
* Strong understanding of education research, and the ability to use evidence from research to inform decision making.
* Experience in staff development and training.
* Ability to manage change and lead school improvement initiatives.
* Experience in community engagement and building partnerships.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a primary or secondary school.
* Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies, particularly those based on Paul Dix's work.
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students and staff.
* Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive school culture.
* Relevant teaching qualifications and leadership training.

About Us:
The Wisbech Academy is a new 11-16 600-student (120 PAN) secondary school which opened for students in September 2024 to help meet growing demand for school places in Wisbech, North Cambridgeshire. The Wisbech Academy was approved to open by the Department for Education in 2021 and is the 12th school to join Brooke Weston Trust.
