Health & Social Care Trainer
Hours: 24 hours per week (3 days)
Salary: £28,000 - pro rata
We are a small, luxury, residential healthcare provider looking to expand our established team. We are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic trainer to deliver a wide range of courses to all staff across our care homes.
This newly created role forms part of our warm and welcoming small HR team, who work closely together to provide first-rate employment and learning opportunities to our staff. You will be supported by a dedicated Learning and Development Manager and will work alongside another trainer who can share best practices and act as peer support.
As an excellent communicator, you will be expected to deliver engaging face-to-face training sessions that meet mandatory requirements.
A relevant teaching/training qualification is not essential (although would be advantageous), but the most important factors are your health and social care experience and knowledge, along with your ability to engage, educate, and enthuse our staff to reach their potential. Strong IT skills are also necessary. We will support you to develop into this role, provided you have the potential to achieve our expectations.
Some of your duties will include:
1. Delivering a range of health and social care courses to staff across all homes, including but not limited to Induction, Moving & Assisting, Fire Safety, Record Keeping, and Safeguarding.
2. Completing and maintaining accurate records on our LMS platform.
3. Keeping up to date with health and social care legislation and regulations.
4. Regularly reviewing and improving all training, exploring different delivery methods, evaluating and reporting on successes, and making recommendations when required.
This role can be based at Welwyn Garden City, St Neots, or Oakham depending on where you live. However, training will need to be delivered at all our homes, so a driving licence and access to your own car are essential (mileage will be reimbursed).
As a highly efficient and resilient individual, you will have a strong work ethic and be able to work on your own initiative. You will have a proven eye for detail and accuracy and be accustomed to a busy workload and meeting deadlines.
