Are you a Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant or an Experienced SEN Level 3 Teaching Assistant?
LTF Recruitment are actively seeking a friendly organised higher level teaching assistant to join one of our well-equipped primary schools in the Foleshill. The role of the Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HTLA) is to provide support for students, teachers, and the school to raise learning standards for Special Education Needs & Disability (SEND) students in class. This role is offered on a long-term basis with potential to become permanent for the successful candidate.
The ideal candidate:
Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Qualification Level 4 (experienced level 3 TA'S considered)
Relevant knowledge and experience of pupils with SEN, SLD/PMLD, ADHD and ASD
Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures
Experience of managing a range of approaches to behaviour, including managing behaviours that challenge.
Experience working within education is advantageous.
Experience of working within a multi-cultural, inclusive settingResponsibilities of the role:
Lead pre planned class lessons providing PPA cover for the class teacher.
Support students with their work and tailor pre planned material to meet the needs of students.
Supervise the behaviour of the classroom, ensure students remain attentive and engaged in the lesson.
To work as a member of a team providing learning support assistance to the pupils of the school.
Establish productive working relationship with pupils and teachers, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
Work 1 to 1 with SEN students who display challenging behaviours.
Provide in class support for identified pupils to enable them to access the curriculum and make progress against targets including supporting the development of skills in literacy, numeracy, communication, and social and behavioural needs.
Maintain records of support sessions and provide a link between teachers and the Learning Support Team.
Undertake planning and teaching sessions for small learning support groups.
Assist the teacher in classroom management and preparing resources for students.
Plan strategies and sessions to improve students learning experience.How to apply?
