Job summary The Medical Education Department is responsible for developing, managing and delivering a range of high quality and cost effective medical educational services within the Trust to specifications required by the General Medical Council, NHS England Workforce, Training & Education (NHSE WT&E) Kent, Surrey & Sussex (KSS) Deanery, associated Medical Schools and the Trust's strategic and operational framework. The post holder will work closely with the Management Team to achieve these overall aims. The Medical Education Administrator will function as a part of the Medical Education Team, contributing to the overall operations of the Centre, engaging in project activities, and participating in the creation and enhancement of promotional materials within the department. Additionally, the individual in this role will undertake various essential duties and responsibilities. Main duties of the job The Medical Education Administrator will work with the Management Team and GP Training Programme Directors to fulfil the NHS Education Funding Agreement and the service level agreement with the KSS GP Department. This will include facilitating and taking minutes at Local Faculty Group (LFG) meetings. The role also involves organising the GP Training Programme and providing administrative support as required. The post holder will also support the work of the Specialty and Associate Specialist (SAS) Doctors, International Medical Graduates (IMG) Doctors and Locally Employed Doctors (LED). This includes organising a programme of courses, supporting the Tutors and facilitating the associated LFGs. There is a requirement to maintain the Accent/Intrepid database according to departmental guidelines. This involves ensuring accurate post information for doctors and precise recording and reporting of all doctors' study leave. Please see attached job description for further details.
