Hours of Work: 32.5 hours - all year round.
We are looking to appoint a flexible and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our expert team of Associate Staff.
The main responsibilities will be:
• to lead on whole school PESSPA
• to Plan, teach and assess PE lessons;
• to provide extra-curricular sporting clubs and activities;
• To inspire children and staff to live a healthy lifestyle
• To plan sporting events and carry out risk assessments
• to assist with inter-school sports events and fixtures;
• to supervise classes during the short-term absence of their usual class or subject teacher
• to deliver high quality interventions;
This post is particularly well-suited to a candidate who is considering career development towards becoming a qualified teacher.
The school has a strong commitment to extra-curricular sport, including competitive fixtures. The school provides a wide range of after school sporting activities, run by our staff.
Our local school sports partnership offers regular opportunities for professional development and support.
The successful candidate should have:
Experience of working in a classroom environment
Experience planning for and leading sports activities/PE lessons
