Senior Construction Administrator
Location: Rochford, Essex
Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 plus package

Our client is a well-established and thriving construction company based in the Rochford area. They are currently searching for an experienced administrator with construction, civil engineering, or maintenance experience. The ideal candidate would be someone who wishes to join a thriving organisation with a turnover close to £20 million per annum. The role offers strong career progression for ambitious individuals and will be predominantly office-based with occasional site/client visits.
ROLE:
1. Managing incoming calls and directing them to the necessary departments/individuals.
2. Providing a courteous and efficient point of contact for enquiries, redirecting or escalating as necessary.
3. Ensuring that all visitors to the company's offices sign into the visitors' book and are made aware of any risks to their health and safety, understanding how to follow site-based rules and requirements.
4. Efficiently processing a variety of administrative requests, from data entry to file management, supporting departmental needs.
5. Organising and maintaining office spaces and systems, including document management and archiving, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
6. Controlling access to restricted areas to maintain security and compliance.
7. Preparing and distributing minutes of meetings and other relevant communications.
8. Scheduling and coordinating appointments, meetings, and room bookings.
9. Assisting in the preparation and editing of reports, presentations, and other documents.
10. Handling mail and email correspondence, ensuring timely and accurate distribution and response.
11. Monitoring office supplies and placing orders when necessary.
CANDIDATE:
1. Previous experience within a construction, civil engineering, maintenance, or engineering background is highly desired.
2. Strong background in company administration is essential.
3. Steady work history is desired.
4. Computer literacy with experience in Word and Excel is essential.
5. Experience in data entry and document control is desired.
6. An understanding of Health and Safety is desired.
7. Must have own transport as the office is difficult to access via public transport.
8. Willingness to work in the office from Monday to Friday.
9. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Very effective planning and organisational skills.
