Class Teachers with SEN Experience - Specialist Teaching Roles
We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Class Teachers with a background in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or experience in supporting children with SEN within mainstream education. SENDCO's are also very welcome to apply!
This is a fantastic opportunity for Teachers who are looking to make a difference by working with individual children and small groups of pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with children with SEN, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs.
Collaborate closely with class teachers and teaching assistants to promote effective learning strategies.
Provide advice, model best practices, and share effective strategies with school staff.
Support the professional development of mainstream staff by offering training and guidance on SEN-related matters.
Assess the needs of children, attend review meetings, and contribute to creating appropriate learning plans.
Liaise with parents, families, and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
The Ideal Candidate will have experience in the following areas:
Experience in Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social Communication Needs: Experience supporting children with ASC, using communication strategies such as social stories, visual timetables, and targeted interventions to support social interaction and communication skills.
