We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Speech & Language Therapist to join our team in North West Wales. This post will be split between adult and paediatric services, thus offering an excellent opportunity for Newly Qualified Therapists to continue to develop a wide range of clinical skills.
You will provide Speech and Language Therapy Services for patients living in Gwynedd and Anglesey, in a variety of settings including clinics, schools, inpatient, outpatient and domiciliary settings.
Main duties of the job
You will provide person centred assessment and treatment of communication needs in conjunction with Multidisciplinary team colleagues to improve the quality of life for those referred to our service, and their carers and support staff. This will involve training and enabling others to support the individual to reach their full potential.
The successful applicants will be supported by local clinical specialists to achieve RCSLT NQP competencies as required, and have access to regular professional and management supervision, a mentor, regular team meetings, and opportunities for continued professional development. As a member of the Speech and Language Therapy team you will be expected to contribute to the ongoing development of a forward thinking and modern department.
Due to the bilingual nature of the population of Gwynedd and Anglesey, the ability to speak Welsh is essential for this role.
