ABOUT THIS ROLE
Anaplan is seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Application Solution Architect for our Supply Chain Application team. This role is critical in designing and building robust supply chain applications on the Anaplan platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of supply chain processes, extensive Anaplan model-building expertise, and a keen attention to detail.
This position requires excellent collaboration skills, the ability to manage complex model-building activities to completion, and a strong focus on delivering intuitive user experiences. You will work closely with our Applications Product Management team to ensure all requirements are met, partner with Model Builders on complex designs, and support our go-to-market and professional services teams in fully leveraging the capabilities of the applications.
As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for understanding requirements from Applications Product Management and establishing the appropriate architecture to meet those needs. You will handle complex model-building activities and provide oversight and guidance to application developers in other areas of model building. Additionally, you will collaborate with the broader platform product and engineering teams to ensure a seamless integration between application architecture and platform capabilities.
Your Impact
* Design, architect, and develop Supply Chain Applications by leveraging core Anaplan platform capabilities.
* Partner with Application Product Management to understand application roadmap, validate requirements and size the build implications.
* Establish the design for new build and maintain the overall architectural standards of the application.
* Coach/guide application developers to ensure the best modelling approaches are adopted.
* Prototype new ideas and functionalities to bring art-of-the-possible thinking to the product roadmap.
* Work with the platform product and engineering teams, to provide applications input into new platform features.
* Ensure new features are prepared to a high standard and support a smooth UAT process. Work with go-to-market and professional services to ensure that new features are understood and adopted.
Your Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience as an Anaplan Solution Architect OR Certified Master Anaplanner, with a diverse range of model-building experience.
* Experience with all facets of the Anaplan platform, including PlanIQ, Optimizer, Workflow and Polaris.
* Numerically literate, and likely to have a STEM undergraduate degree.
* Domain knowledge in supply chain is beneficial, as it enhances the architect's ability to understand and address the specific needs and challenges of supply chain.
* Proven ability to influence a team towards completion and guide/manage other team members' activity.
* Collaborating with SMEs on the application while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure we continue to meet application roadmap deadlines.
* Attention to detail and a focus on model-building best-practices and standards.
* A focus on the end user experience is essential.
* An ‘engineering mindset’ to Anaplan architecture.
