Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Business Support Officer for a Local Authority Client based in Southeast London.
In this role, you will provide essential administrative and financial support to ensure efficient operations within the Housing Solutions Business Unit, contributing to the delivery of high-quality services for residents.
About the role:
You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:
1. Provide comprehensive administrative assistance, manage filing systems, and support senior management with logging, tracking, and responding to inquiries and correspondence.
2. Use the SAP financial system for purchase orders, payments, and budget monitoring.
3. Respond to internal and external inquiries, manage requests related to FOI, SAR, and GDPR, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure timely responses.
4. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, assist with fraud prevention, support the development of new procedures, and provide assistance with divisional events and case indexing.
About you:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
1. Experience working in office administration, managing financial processes, and using computerised financial systems.
2. Experience in maintaining accurate records, managing databases, and producing financial and performance reports for decision-making and service improvements.
3. Experience in responding to customer inquiries, managing complaints, and effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and provide support.
4. Experience in managing workloads under pressure, ensuring compliance with financial and statutory regulations, and contributing to process improvements within a team environment.
What's on offer:
Salary: £16+ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
