Due to growth, our Bathgate facility has an opening for a Project Manager to join their team. As a Project Manager, you will coordinate and drive forward the storing, production, packaging, and distribution of clinical trial medicines from our site in Bathgate, Scotland. This is a site-based role.
Projects vary in size and complexity, and scope will also be flexible as you will be tasked with supporting Global Project Management teams, multi-site or lead project management activities and initiatives for clients in this fast-paced, quality-led environment.
The Role
1. Your role will require you to prepare and manage Project Plans from end to end that meet required milestones outlined and agreed with clients.
2. You will be required to manage projects that may reside within single or multiple business lines or sites as assigned and act as the single point of contact for the client and facilitate responses to customer questions and observations.
3. You will lead meetings with both client and internal teams to facilitate and drive project completion and ensure the project meets timeline and budget requirements.
4. You will provide notification of milestone completions for billing to the Finance department and will be the primary focal point for all project team and client communication.
5. Acting as the client advocate, you will take on additional assignments for the department, group, or site with support. You will be able to speak to all Catalent business services and promote Catalent at client meetings and conferences and work with sales teams to win new business.
6. You may also support or lead Project Management teams, cross-site teams, or functional teams in department, site, or global project management projects, activities, and initiatives.
7. You will support the mentoring and training of other Project Managers in the group and Project Coordinators as needed and may train other functions in Project Management processes and activities.
Candidate Requirements
1. A working knowledge and experience of Project Management is essential for this role, as are excellent client-facing skills and a desire to meet/exceed client expectations throughout all stages of the project.
2. The ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects showing leadership, negotiation, presentation, and facilitation skills is a fundamental part of the role.
3. A Science Degree and/or apprenticeship or considerable equivalent work experience is preferred.
4. You should have a working knowledge of Pharmaceutical/Biotech or manufacturing industries.
5. You will have the ability to work with minimal supervision to meet required timelines and be able to lead teams that may involve multiple sites and be comfortable working in a multi-national team with language requirements depending on work location.
6. You should display a desire to meet and exceed client expectations on a continual basis and demonstrate effective communication skills both written and verbal.
