A great placement opportunity for someone looking for an NPD role Full Job Description This business is the leading manufacturer of frozen confectionery products in Europe. In 1990 the company’s UK Business Unit was established, based in Yorkshire, Northern England. The UK office are responsible for the Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain Management of a large range of branded and private label products which are distributed to a wide range of retail and food service customers globally. The company’s UK business unit is seeking a placement student to join the team as a New Product Development Assistant, to complement the expanding global business in this sector. If you are enthusiastic, focussed and ambitious with the desire to develop in a thriving business then this could be the role for you. Responsibilities: Within this role you will be working closely with the German head office keeping in regular communication through regular emails and calls. As well as working with the internal team members you will be liaising directly with customers to ensure that strict deadlines are adhered to prior to the launch of new products/projects. You will use internal system to oversee the whole NPD admin process and ensure customer samples are ordered and delivered on time. You will also use market research data to monitor market developments to stay on top of current trends. As part of your role you will be preparing Presentations on new products and attending meetings about with key customers to propose new ideas and products. Only applicants who will still be enrolled on a course of study and looking for a placement year will be considered.
