Operations Engineering Director
Location: Chester
Term: Permanent
Salary: £90,000-£100,000 p/a + 30% bonus
My client is looking for an Operations Engineering Director to join their business on a permanent basis in the Chester area. The candidate will develop & implement strategic plans and oversee day-to-day operations of the company, working closely with the MD to implement the company's visions and strategic plans.
Key Attributes:
1. Degree qualified in Engineering or Science field; a Masters would be an advantage.
2. Experience within the Engineering industry.
3. Proven experience in climbing up the corporate ladder.
4. Engineering, Operations, and Process Implementation experience.
5. Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills.
6. A proactive, self-starter who is consultative and adaptable.
7. Willing to travel where required.
Responsibilities:
1. Assess, review, and improve operational processes and procedures in line with company objectives and delivery contracts.
2. Implement systems to measure the effectiveness of all company-related processes, internal and external, apply cost-effective measures, and provide timely, accurate, and complete performance data reports on the operating condition of the company.
3. Provide effective team and project management leadership, including overseeing project completion timelines, monitoring project costs, and ensuring client needs and expectations are met.
4. Formulate, implement, monitor, and review the company's Health & Safety policy and procedures, including risk assessments.
5. Provide leadership to create an environment that motivates people, communicates effectively, and ensures that they are fully aware of what is expected of them while encouraging and recognizing their efforts.
6. Liaise with all departments to ensure service delivery is achieved on time, in full, in accordance with budget and quality standards, to fulfill customer expectations with the most effective use of company resources.
7. Oversee and ensure that the methods and procedures used comply with ISO 9001 and the company's QMS system; if not, make the case to change the procedures.
8. Keep abreast of technological innovations in related fields and make recommendations regarding their impact and application to the business.
9. Appraise staff annually, evaluate performance, assess knowledge and skills, and deal with and resolve problems arising.
