RT Joinery Services are a well-established and well respected manufacturer of bespoke joinery and cabinetry for the leisure and retail sector. Our high class work can be seen in many of London’s bars, restaurants, clubs and hotels including Harrods, Soho House, the Ivy Collection and Hawksmoor. Whilst much of our work is for London based projects, our joinery has also been installed across the country, most recently on high end projects in Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool and as far afield as Amsterdam and Chicago.
We also undertake exclusive high end residential work. Working with well-known design and architectural houses our work has been fitted in many celebrity homes and high end residences around the country.
As we continue to expand our business and modernise our processes, with the introduction of our CNC department, we have a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to join our reputable company on a permanent basis as we grow and develop.
We are looking to further enhance our team and appoint an experienced working Workshop Foreman for our busy joinery workshop.
You will be required to work closely with the Project Management Team overseeing all aspects of the Workshop and liaising with the Sprayshop to ensure that jobs run smoothly, are manufactured to a high quality, on time and within budget.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Carpentry and Joinery background with experience of working in a busy workshop as a Bench Joiner
* Previous experience as a Workshop Foreman/Supervisor or of managing a team
* Bespoke joinery experience and knowledge of woodworking machinery
* Understanding of CNC processes
* Knowledge of spray finishing processes
* Knowledge and understanding of reading and working to Architects drawings
* Keen eye for detail – quality control is essential
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment, working to tight deadlines and ensuring delivery dates are met
* Ability to multi-task, working on multiple jobs and prioritising
* Ability to communicate at all levels, approachable and flexible
* Good leadership skills and motivator of staff
* Solution focused and ability to problem solve
* Must be fluent in English and have good communication skills
* Must have the right to live and work in the UK
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the overall management and control of workshop and production activities, and managing all joinery shop production activities on a daily basis
* Liaising with Sprayshop regarding programme and delivery timescales
* Quality control and management - ensuring manufactured items are produced within the specification and to an expected quality level, including finishing works
* Ensure works are completed within set timescales and delivery dates are met
* Organising and management of the workforce from commencement of the work right through to delivery, stock control, ordering materials, cost control, implementation of ‘good housekeeping’ and Health & Safety systems.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a high quality of workmanship and attention to detail, be well-motivated and able to work as part of a team

Standard Working Hours 7.30 am -4.30 pm Mon-Fri with overtime as required
