As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dynamic Practice Manager to play a pivotal role in overseeing operations and supporting the firm’s strategic development.
The Role:
As the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the practice. You will manage operations, compliance, and client service delivery while supporting the leadership team in driving business growth and innovation. This role requires a proactive, highly organised individual with experience in professional services and a strong understanding of accountancy practice management. This person will have the ability to foster positive relationships with all stakeholders, communicating at all levels in the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across all functions.
* Team Leadership: Support, mentor, and manage staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
* Client Experience: Enhance client satisfaction by ensuring excellent service delivery, responding to client queries, and maintaining strong relationships.
* Process Improvement: Implement and refine systems, processes, and technologies to optimise productivity and workflow.
* Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory and industry standards, including AML and GDPR requirements.
* Finance & Budgeting: Assist in managing financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
* Business Development Support: Work with the leadership team to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements.
* HR & Recruitment: Assist with hiring, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives.
* Technology & Innovation: Support the adoption of new accounting technologies and digital tools to streamline operations.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Have proven experience in practice management, operations, or a senior administrative role within an accountancy, legal, or professional services environment. Minimum of 3-5 years’ is desirable.
* Demonstrate strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with clients and team members.
* Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.
* Possess strong IT skills and knowledge of accountancy practice software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Digita or similar) is advantageous.
* A proactive mindset, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
* Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in an accountancy setting.
* Experience in financial management, reporting, and budgeting.
* HR and people management experience is beneficial.
