An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Removals Operations & Warehouse Manager to work for our established Removals client, offering tailored domestic and business services nationally, from their base in South West London.
As Removals Operations & Warehouse Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operational and warehouse activities. Physical fitness and a valid UK drivers licence is essential for this role.
You will be responsible for ensuring compliance of legal requirements in terms of health, safety, and vehicle operations, encompassing maintenance, tachograph management, and monitoring driver hours. You will also lead teams in providing outstanding removal services, whilst ensuring the highest level of customer service to optimise profitability.
Removals Operations & Warehouse Manager duties include:
1. Supervising maintenance tasks, including inspections and resolving defects.
2. Managing tachograph records and ensuring compliance with removal drivers' hours regulations.
3. Enforcing measures to prevent overloading and control speeding incidents.
4. Liaising with the Traffic Commissioner for necessary notifications and commitments.
5. Handling administrative duties related to warehouse operations and removals customer communication.
6. Overseeing forklift operations, administrative functions, and team supervision.
7. Utilizing the Moveware system to facilitate booking and container movements.
8. Managing operational schedules and Moveware functions.
9. Approving timesheets and processing expense claims.
10. Handling inquiries from both removal customers and employees.
11. Implementing and establishing standardized processes and procedures.
12. Assisting with the resolution of customer complaints and managing damage reports.
The Removals Operations & Warehouse Manager will have proven experience working in a managerial role within the Removals & Relocations industry. You must be a confident communicator and competent at problem solving.

In return, the successful Removals General Manager will be offered up to £45,000.
