Department Overview
Pfizer’s Commercial Portfolio Business Unit manages an extensive portfolio of critical medicines, delivering value to patients throughout the UK. Pfizer offers a diverse environment which allows employees numerous opportunities to grow and develop.
What can I achieve and what will I be accountable for whilst completing a placement at Pfizer?
During the placement, you will:
1. Work across various areas within the product lifecycle, from forecasting to delivery
2. Develop critical business skills, including stakeholder management, multi-tasking, commercial and business acumen, and leadership
3. Gain exposure to the marketing mix with a focus on commercial thinking and Customer Value Proposition development
4. Become a valued team player while having the opportunity to own specific projects
Other tasks will include:
1. Involvement in team-based projects with the commercial Marketing & Hospital Commercial managers
2. Assisting the marketing team with projects, content development and operational activities
3. Project Implementation
4. External stakeholder communication
5. Maintaining a high level of accuracy in reporting shortages and supply KPIs
6. Collaborate with regulatory teams to drive the Reg21 process for product discontinuations
7. Analysis of data, data driven insights, input into channel strategies

When can I start?
Placements will start on 1st September 2025 and will run for 12 months.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Type of person we are looking for, in relation to ‘Skills’, ‘Knowledge’ and ‘Motivation’:
1. Completing placement as part of University Degree either through Year In Industry/Industrial Placement or Gap Year
2. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
3. Ability to work effectively in a team environment
4. Strong Maths and English skills
5. Self-assurance to engage with Pfizer personnel at all levels
6. Basic business and commercial acumen
7. Excellent interpersonal skills, tenacity and the ability to influence others
8. Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
