Financial Controller As the company enters an exciting phase of growth, they are seeking a Financial Controller to lead the finance department and manage the existing finance team. This role will involve full ownership of the company’s finance function. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience in managing complex financial operations, preferably in a high-growth manufacturing or engineering environment. The Financial Controller will play a key role in advising the board on the company’s financial health, using their expertise to guide short- and long-term strategies for continued success. The successful candidate will be a natural leader with excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and ensuring staff are well-informed about financial policies and procedures. About the candidate ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified accountant, ideally with at least 10 years of finance experience. Strong understanding of accounting treatment for work in progress and long-term contracts. Proven experience in managing monthly and annual payroll processes. In-depth knowledge of legal requirements and submissions within the finance function. Proficient with Sage 50 accounts and Sage payroll. Experience in reviewing VAT transactions and filing quarterly VAT returns. Demonstrable expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, variance analysis, and budgeting. Previous practice experience is highly desirable. Experience in managing development cost portfolios and conducting impairment reviews is a plus. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks based on key project milestones and objectives. Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (English is the working language). Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, as well as Word, PowerPoint, and Visio. What is on offer?
