About the role
We are seeking a proactive, passionate and committed team leader to join our team at InFocus Charity, to support the delivery of high-quality care to our young people with vision impairment and complex needs. You will be the first line manager; motivating, inspiring and supporting the Residential Care team so they can perform their role safely and to the best of their ability.
During the evenings, our young people like to participate in meaningful activities such as swimming or social clubs. They like to get out, explore and socialise, and you will lead and encourage the team to plan and organise leisure and social activities within the community.
Your role will include coordinating day-to-day activities, planning your staffing, and organising larger events such as holidays, music festivals, and parties.
It will also be your job to support our young people to make their own decisions and reach their full potential in our excellent educational and residential setting. You will be required to support our young people in a person-centred way and respond to their needs, wishes, and aspirations.
This Team Leader role will also include conducting supervisions, providing support with the onboarding of new employees, and continuing to encourage and make positive improvements to the service.
InFocus will support you every step of the way by providing an excellent, well-designed induction programme along with mandatory training which will help you get off to the best possible start, by ensuring that you fully understand your role and the part you play in achieving our vision. We offer many opportunities for personal development, and you will also be supported by our Residential Support Manager and Head of Care.
