What you’ll be doing
1. Active member of the Engineering Leadership team
2. Acts as the key point of contact for internal customers and Product Owner community
3. Responsible for platform technical roadmap creation and prioritisation aligned to agreed business outcomes
4. Manages the planning, co-ordination, and day-to-day development, testing and delivery of high quality, stable e2e digital solutions to drive EE/BT Self-Serve products/business requirements and objectives, working across geographically dispersed squads within a tribe.
5. Manages day-to-day performance, delivery efficiency and quality of outsourced software development, engineering, and testing resources, located in different global locations
6. Manages internal and external suppliers to ensure quality outcomes
7. Coaches and manages teams of developers, testers and DevOps Engineers building high volume of front-end web pages every week based upon requirements from stakeholders
8. Decides on test technology and techniques, which will be transformed from manual to automated practices
9. Decides priorities for defect management & Technical debt
10. Monitors and drives fixes for all live defects / bugs
11. Accountable for all code security and compliance
12. Works with Operations and Support teams
13. Understanding complex / conflicting business requirements and delivering to tight deadlines
14. Signing off estimates for work packages to be delivered by the team
15. Manages risks and issues raised during the release cycle, ensuring that all stakeholders respond to requests within agreed timeframes

19. Project to Product & waterfall led process transformation knowledge
20. Multi Brand / Multi domain API led architecture delivery
21. Identify and remove impediments / bottlenecks in the SDLC

Experience
Essential :
29. 5+ years in multi-disciplined software application development, multi app / multi-platform
30. Experience of managing app development teams/working knowledge of App Development: IOS, Android, Kotlin, Flutter
31. Experience in running teams of this scale, composed of insourced and outsourced geographically dispersed resources
32. Microservice/API development experience
33. Azure B/C & Azure AD Architecture awareness
34. Hands on development experience
35. Good database knowledge (SQL, etc…)
Nice to have:
36. Good level of knowledge / experience of Agile software development, and supporting best practices: TDD, Pair Programming etc.
37. Experience in managing delivery of highly transactional platforms that are available 24/7
38. Experience with DevOps CI/CD pipelines using e.g., Jenkins, tools built into GitLab
