Mott MacDonald Bentley are recruiting for a Procurement Manager to join the Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA). The 330km Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) Project by Anglian Water is under construction and will be completed during AMP8. Beyond this we have a further 260km of water transfer pipelines and associated infrastructure to be delivered in AMP8. What will you be doing as our new Procurement Manager? Your role is to develop and maintain the Procurement Schedule to ensure products and services are delivered to site on-time. You will need to be able to work with, and lead, a team of professionals including Design, Commercial and Delivery to achieve this outcome. You will be responsible for ensuring value-for-money and building relationships with our Ecosystem Partners, through conducting mini competitions, applying Anglian Water allocation methodologies or conducting new procurement processes. Where appropriate you will need to ensure that the products purchase comply with DWI requirements. Key responsibilities: Take ownership of your portfolio of work to deliver sourcing events to time and to deliver maximum value to the business. Appoint suppliers following an agreed sourcing methodology suitable for the value or complexity of the spend and/or requirement. Lead on commercial negotiations Ensure relevant systems are used and updated to ensure an auditable process and efficient reporting to the business. Provide advice and support to the business to understand and deliver their requirements. Notify the relevant manager of any spend trends which may need further investigation. Ensure sustainable procurement risks are understood and managed for all projects Negotiate with suppliers on a “spot buy” basis where appropriate. Comply with SPA Procurement Policy and processes. Ensure your programme of work supports the Purchase to Pay process through effective procurement. Develop wider knowledge of products and wider supply chain. Ensure 360 performance feedback is completed for your Ecosystem Partners and quarterly meetings held. Understand micro and macro-economic impacts on your supply chain and how to mitigate risk. Liaise with other Anglian Water Alliances to manage resource and capacity across the shared supply chain.
