Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Tuddenham or Blofield (Subsistence can be offered)
Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 Competitive, based on experience and potential package.
Contract Type: Permanent (Inside IR35 for contingent workers)

We are recruiting for experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors (SQS) to join a leading company specializing in large-scale civil and highways infrastructure projects. Our projects focus on earthworks, drainage, and structures, offering significant responsibility within £60m+ packages.
Role Overview:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the commercial and financial management of large-scale civil engineering and highways projects. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in project management and a deep understanding of NEC4 contracts.
You will work closely with project teams, managing costs, contract administration, and ensuring that projects are delivered on budget and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Management: Control and monitor project expenditure, ensuring cost-effective delivery within budget. Contract Management: Administer contracts in line with NEC4 (Options A and B), ensuring compliance and successful outcomes. Risk Management: Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial risks associated with projects. Project Management: Lead the commercial function on £60m+ civil engineering packages, including earthworks, drainage, and structures. Subcontractor Management: Procure and manage subcontractors, ensuring timely and cost-effective performance. Reporting: Prepare accurate financial reports, forecasts, and valuations. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
Skills & Experience:
Highways/Civils Experience: Proven experience in the highways and civil engineering sectors. Contractual Knowledge: Proficient in NEC4 contracts (Options A & B). Big Package Experience: Experience managing large-scale projects with budgets exceeding £60m. Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, and structures. Analytical & Commercial Skills: Ability to forecast, control budgets, and manage risk. Travel: Willingness to travel to projects across the UK, with contingent workers already traveling from Birmingham and Blackpool.
