Dakota Hotels are coming to Newcastle city centre in early 2025 and we are seeking a genuine people person with strong admi ni stration skills for the role of Receptio n i st. The start date for this role is 24th February 2025, however interviews will be taking place from January 2025. CONTRACT AND PAY RATE Earnings are £13.85 per hour, paid weekly equating to a minimum guaranteed gross annual salary of £11,525. The role carries a permanent contract of a minimum of 16 hours per week and typical shifts will be working Saturday and Sunday. PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES To carry out Reception duties including welcoming guests to Dakota, checking in and out guests, carrying out ad hoc requests, making bedroom and table reservations, light housekeeping tasks, and handling guest billing. Provide a consistently high level of guest service in accordance to our service principles and values, ensuring that all guests receive special attention and recog ni tion. To have a comprehensive knowledge of the Front Office computer systems. Work closely alongside all other departments to ensure excellent commu ni cation and be proactive in assist ing other departments as required. Offer additional services to make the guest experience more seamless i.e. making restaurant reservations, assist ing in directions, delivering items to rooms. APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS The successful applicant will have/be: A mi ni mum of two years working experience in a hospitality setting, preferably in a hotel environment. A strong admi ni strator with the ability to prioritise and work at pace. Experience working in 4 and 5 hotels are strongly preferred Great commu ni cator and a genuine people person Hands-on approach to all aspects of the role, available to work flexible shifts and present in the business during peak times Fully computer literate. A knowledge of a property management system is desirable however full trai ni ng will be given. Be able to be physically active in your role, standing for much of your shift and working at pace. An enthusiastic individual who will promote our culture of positivity. Be task oriented with a great pride for the work they do and attention to detail.
