Description The Role: Reporting into the Network General Manager. Responsible for delivery of the Wincanton Safety vision and leading from the front with both behaviours and focus Ensure all KPI’s, such as operational and financial targets are met as required Engage, develop and motivate your team to ensure a positive and constructive workplace and drive colleague engagement Be an advocate for excellent customer experience Work efficiently to tight deadlines to ensure customer satisfaction targets and service targets are adhered to in line with our values and behaviours Ensure effective communication throughout the operation, communicating planned requirements providing information on performance, company news and procedures Ensuring an effective people resourcing plan to meet the needs of the business You will be responsible for building relationships with business partners to ensure that they meet the service level agreements Be actively involved with budget reviews with added value thinking for the customer. Ensure the operation operates to the mutual benefit of the customer and the company. The Person : Ideally you will have senior management experience of working within a 3PL environment, FMCG, supply chain, understanding processes and operations requirements, being fully familiar with stringent service level expectations, in both a transport environment & Warehouse environment. Commercially astute with the ability to deliver benefit against an Open book budget You will have experience of working closely with clients and developing effective working relationships Proactive and flexible in your approach, a self-starter who is driven to achieve Team player who can lead a large team in a positive, hands on and professional manner who is organised and passionate about quality and has relevant experience in people managed, KPI’s etc Have the ability to continually look for ways to enhance and improve current processes Clear communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence at all levels, both internally and externally An effective self-starter using own initiative Must have the enthusiasm, stamina and commitment in order to the meet the considerable challenge of operating in the highly customer focused environment
