Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in a home care setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities.
Responsibilities
* - Personal care needs
* - Management of saliva/secretions (suction machine has been ordered).
* - Management of PEG feeds and flushes.
* - Monitoring of weight due to weight loss.
* - Continence care.
* - Management of skin integrity.
* - Full assistance with moving and handling ensuring risk assessment is followed.
* - Anticipation of all needs.
* - Reassurance and management of distress.
* - Administration of medications via PEG.
* - Monitoring of pain
* - On-going therapy for management of posture.
* - Night time needs.
* - Assistance with hydrotherapy
Requirements
* Minimum 2 Years Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant (required)
* Minimum 1 year experience with Brain injury / spinal injury (required)
* Minimum 1 year experience with Peg feeding (required)
* A valid UK driving licence with vehicle (required)
* A genuine passion for providing high-quality care to vulnerable individuals.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £11.44-£12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
