Position Overview
This role involves defining and implementing ramp-up and production quality test routines by providing measurement systems, methods, and tools. You will establish an inspection planning system and create inspection plans in cross-functional teams. The preferred candidate is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, or Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, to support this hybrid role.
Responsibilities
1. Set testing standards and strategies using appropriate equipment and tools, and optimize these setups based on production needs (e.g., Lean Production, ambient conditions).
2. Ensure calibration of all measurement and testing tools according to standards.
3. Execute quality standards in Production Quality operations and processes.
4. Establish quality control measures for materials and products based on business and product risks.
5. Create inspection/test plans collaboratively with development, engineering, and quality management, following systematic inspection systems (e.g., APQP/Control Plan).
6. Conduct production qualification and sample testing according to guidelines and standards.
7. Verify that data and test reports are accurate, valid, and reliable.
8. Advise quality and engineering teams on standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
9. Support digital solutions to improve quality through innovative thinking.
Minimum Skills and Knowledge
1. Preferred but not required, 3 years of experience in Medical/Radiation oncology or validation of medical software devices.
2. Experience with JAMA, Azure, Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, and Monday.com is preferred but not required.
3. IT experience is not mandatory for clinical validation specialists.
