A bit about the job:
The role sits at the heart of our business within the Internal Operations area of the Performance, Governance and Reporting (PGR) Team. In this role, you will primarily be working alongside the UK Market Leads, providing governance and SME support to Group Operational Resilience and the wider business. Operational Resilience ensures that Aviva can keep its important business services operating in scenarios of adversity, and you would play a part in delivering this for millions of customers. While the primary focus of this role is Operational Resilience, you will also have the opportunity to provide support to the wider Internal Operations team, which covers areas such as Data Governance, Supplier Governance, and Risk and Control.
Key aspects of the role:
* Support teams across Internal Operations deliver against a large number of requirements, with varied and challenging work.
* Collation, analysis, and translation of data for consumption of senior leaders, boards, and regulators.
* Reviewing artefacts to ensure completeness and consistency.
* Supporting senior leaders in crisis management.
* Driving continuous improvement and best practice.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* Experience working in a Risk and Governance type of role within the Financial Services industry.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Good communication and stakeholder management skills. The ability to work collaboratively and effectively with teams across multiple business areas to drive strategic outcomes is key.
* Proactive self-starter who can work independently but shows good judgement of when to involve others.
* Understanding of operational resilience is desirable.

* Salary circa £45,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
* Bonus opportunity - 10% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
