Are you an experienced project manager with specialism in or the ambition to manage fire investment works? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
As a Project Manager (Fire), you will oversee contracts, issue orders, manage progress meetings, and ensure timely completion of projects. You will handle remedial works and ensure compliance with Building Control notifications, Construction Design & Management regulations, and planning requirements. Quality will be important to you and you will conduct sample inspections and address any non-compliance issues. Additionally, you will collaborate with colleagues to procure contractors and consultants for fire safety projects. Financial accountability is also a key aspect of this role, ensuring contracts offer value for money and managing project costs within approved budgets.
About you
We are looking for someone with experience in project management; managing fire-related projects would be a bonus. A good technical understanding of residential structures, along with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to produce clear reports, is essential. Desirable qualifications include professional qualifications in fire safety (NEBOSH, IFE, or equivalent) and HNC/HND in Building Surveying, CIOB, or equivalent.
A valid driving licence and roadworthy vehicle are necessary, along with the ability to use PPE, stairs, and ladders during site inspections. The successful applicant will require a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate which is considered satisfactory to Housing Solutions.
