The role?
A permanent opportunity has arisen within our Cranes and Lifting department for a Crane Operator Mechanic to work offshore on a 2/2 rotational basis. Mobilisation will be from Humberside. You will be tasked with carrying out first line maintenance up to and including 6 monthly Planned Maintenance Routines and ensuring Crane integrity is maintained to current legislative, corporate and manufacturers recommendations. Other main duties and responsibilities will include;
* ensuring crane availability is attained to client specification
* carrying out planned maintenance routines ensuring spares & resources and planned and organised in a timely manner
* completion of the Crane Operator Maintainer daily log, trip reports and enter data into maintenance management system
* operating the crane for installation and vessel lifts within crane design envelope, taking into consideration prevailing weather
It would be expected that a safe and comprehensive shift handover is conducted and recorded. You must also have a good understanding of the Management of Change process and be able to identify and initiate change management events on the job.
You are?
To be successful for the position it is essential you hold a Stage III Offshore Crane Operator Certificate and subsequent Stage III assessments. Holding a recognised apprenticeship or mechanical qualification is preferred.
