Health & Safety Coordinator - Part Time
£27,500 per annum pro rata
Monday - Wednesday 08:00 - 17:00, 25.5 hours per week
My client is a renowned manufacturing business based in Blaenavon who, due to increased productivity, require a NEBOSH Qualified Part Time Health & Safety Coordinator. To be considered for this role, you will need to have experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the Health, Safety & Welfare of Employees.
2. Managing & Updating the Company's general Health & Safety in the Workplace on a day-to-day basis, including Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, Fire Safety, etc.
3. Carrying out H&S housekeeping inspections.
4. Updating H&S policies and procedures.
5. Documenting and investigating all accidents/investigations.
6. Delivering toolbox talks on health and safety issues to all levels.
7. Maintaining the H&S management system.
8. Advising Managers, Foremen, and Employees on current Health & Safety Legislation.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required
1. Excellent communication skills and the ability to use all Microsoft Office packages is essential.
2. Approachable, very 'hands-on' and must be comfortable spending time on the shop floor.
3. A calm, assertive, and firm attitude is vital with the ability to work under pressure and without direct supervision.
4. NEBOSH General certificate with experience in all areas of workplace Health & Safety.
