We are seeking a Director of Fundraising for a part-time role at Al Massira International.
We distribute resources for evangelism and discipleship around the world, including Al Massira (The Journey), which is a thirteen-episode video series journeying chronologically through the scriptures to present eternal truths in an eastern, community-oriented style, familiar to those from a Muslim worldview culture. As participants are led to an understanding of the person and work of the Messiah in the gospels, Christ becomes the answer to important questions that have been awakened in their hearts and leads them into deeper discipleship.
Al Massira distributes the resources through website download and through online and offline (SD Card-based) Apps. Al Massira is also developing a second series that explores the themes surrounding the development of the early church through the Acts of the Apostles. These are themes relevant to modern world locations where communities of Jesus’ followers are developing in minority and challenging situations.
Al Massira International (AMI) promotes AM and supports regional teams around the world, who are involved in translation, training, and follow-up. The team has an administrative office in Wales, UK, with some members based in the area and some working with the team remotely.
The Director of Fundraising has a key role in applying for grants and working with regular donors, as well as developing strategies for future directions in fundraising.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fundraising is crucial to the sustainability of AM and to facilitate its development.
* The position will develop relationships and collaborate with key individual, corporate, and foundation donors to enable AMI to develop its work.
* Oversee the fundraising strategy and pursue fundraising opportunities particularly in the US, UK, Europe, and SE Asia.
* Research and shortlist grant-making trusts in the UK and USA.
* Prepare fundraising applications for AM projects, including general funds, Al Massira, new projects, app development, regional development, and translations.
* Oversee strategy to widen the regular donor base from within the AM alumni community.
Communication
* Ensure good communication takes place between Al Massira and regular donors, thus ensuring the testimony of the ministry reaches those who are supporting the work.
* Handle reporting requirements to foundations, churches, and major donors according to their requirements.
* Communicate with regional teams and project leaders regarding their needs to ensure that developments are based on realistic budgets.
* Offer support and advice to regional teams in their fundraising activities.
