Electrical Contract Manager sought, Exeter. Build Maintain Recruit are proudly working alongside a national MEP Contractor looking to further bolster their Southwestern team with the addition of an Electrical Contract Manager due to internal promotion. You will be joining an organisation with a profound history of delivering a variety of schemes within the locality and nationally.\n \n Overview,\n \nReporting directly to the Operations Manager, the primary function and responsibilities of the Contracts Manager will include leadership and management of traditional and Design and Build projects, with overall responsibility for planning, procurement, construction progress, handover, financial performance, commercial management and safe delivery of all projects under their control in accordance with the company policy & procedures and adhering to all statutory and regulatory legislation in order to meet the contract SLA's, KPI's, T&C's and departments targets for customer service and retention, growth and profitability. \n Day to day, \n \nAttend various meetings, training, seminars and conferences. \nMonthly reporting for operations & profit. \nManage projects to achieve company goals and objectives. \nCarry out site visits, including staying out of town as required, for client meetings, surveys, and commissioning/site inspections, handovers. \nAssist in evaluation of department's performance and recommend new strategies for performance improvements. \nIdentify resources, assign workloads and responsibilities to team members and manage schedules to ensure timely deliveries of projects. \nProvide guidance & support to project team members and monitor their performance, discipline and attendance. \nLiaison and involvement with the Design Team, Estimating team and sub-contractors. \nManagement of project supply chain including sub-contractors & suppliers. \nManaging the expectations and requirements of the customer & dispute resolution.
\nCost planning of projects and preparation of tender submittals if required. \nManaging the day-to-day operational aspects of multiple projects at a time. \nProcurement of materials, equipment and sub-contract works.
\nPresentation of project CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation) forecasts to Management. \nEngage in the development of the operational team to maximise ‘in house' capabilities \nEnsure compliance with legislation and statutory testing requirements within all projects. \nManage Permit to Work process within areas of responsibility and ensure process followed. \nEnsure extra works revenue systems are maximised on group of contracts and that extra works are costed in line with the contract specific requirements. \nEnsure use of technical training registers and authorisation registers within areas of responsibility. \nAlways ensure full compliance with industry bodies within areas of responsibility (IEE, NICEIC, JCT, NEC etc) \nTo understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time. \n What you’ll need to succeed, \n \nCore Electrical qualifications, NVQ 3 or City & Guilds \nIdeally, you will have an HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering / Building Services Engineering \nProven history of working as an Electrical Contract Manager / Project Manager \nHealth and Safety management trained including CDM experience. \nCommercial astute & awareness. \nCustomer care/ relationship building skills. \nAbility to manage and change successfully. \n Interested?
