Through training, study and experience the post holder will be supported to provide a highly specialised Paediatric Oncology nursing service, within the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, to all children and teenagers with cancer and their families. The post holder will gain experience by working closely with the POSCU Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) team, the community nursing team and the CNS teams at the Principle Treatment Centres (PTCs) including the Royal Marsden Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital and University College Hospital, London. The post holder will ensure that children and teenagers with cancer and their families/carers receive the highest standard of individualised care from the point of diagnosis onwards. The post holder will provide a holistic, patient-focused service delivering evidence based information and advice for children and teenagers with cancer and their families/carers, supporting them throughout diagnosis, treatment, follow up and end of life care.
